Spring has Sprung at Beehive

The warm weather has inspired our Beehivers to flex their green thumbs for Spring and Summer.  Using our leisure center Veggie Pods, our Social Support Programs manager has been working with our Beehivers to bring some green into the Beehive.

Beehivers such as Atul and Nadia have been growing green beans, zucchini, tomatoes and succulents.  The plants are either cared for in our Veggie Pods or are taken home for some extra care. 

It has been an absolute delight to provide our service users with new ways to engage their interests and start new hobbies.  Small projects like these help increase mental wellbeing and promote self-care.  As the weather continues to warm up, we look forward to seeing our Beehive indoor garden thrive and grow.
