Squashed with pumpkins during the 2024 Pathfinders Pumpkin Run

blog, featured | 24 Jun 2024 |

Pathfinders is a fellow not-for-profit organisation that supports disadvantaged communities in the north-west, northern tablelands and mid-north coast of NSW.

They provide assistance to people with a disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, as well as at-risk youth.

Every year, Pathfinders carries out the Pumpkin Run.  Over 10,000 tons of Pumpkins are harvested at Tilbuster Station, which hosts several youth development and support programs.  The pumpkins are then delivered to food ministries and charities across NSW.

This year, we were fortunate to receive two cartloads of large and delicious pumpkins from Tony and his team.  Beehive Chef Linda Westacott is already busy planning a pumpkin flavoured menu for our Beehivers’ daily lunches this winter.

The excess pumpkins given to us have been donated to our Beehivers so that they can make their own recipes at home.

Thank you again to Pathfinders and your hard work at Tilbuster Station for this tasty donation.
