Beehive Industries and Wayside Chapel Impact Day – new opportunities to work together

blog, featured | 13 Feb 2024 |

Beehive Industries was delighted to host an Impact Day with our neighbour and fellow charity, Wayside Chapel.

Volunteers from Minter Ellison learned about Beehive Industries’ and Wayside Chapel’s work with vulnerable people in central Sydney.  The volunteers helped to make meatballs and pasta under the expert guidance of Beehive’s resident chef, Linda Westacott.

The meals prepared in our kitchen were then served to weekend visitors at Wayside Chapel’s community café.

Most importantly, Beehive and Wayside Chapel were able to share their stories and emphasise the importance of collaboration between charities and corporate organizations.  Volunteers heard from Beehive’s CEO, Mark Thompson and Wayside Chapel’s CEO, Pastor Jon Owen on how Beehive and Wayside Chapel address the needs of the most vulnerable in our community.

We are glad to see the Impact Day was a success for all involved, and we look forward to more opportunities to work together to support our communities in the future.
