Before Kumar became a household name thanks to his impressive performance in the 2011 MasterChef series, he worked as a graphic designer and teacher in London, Hong Kong and Sydney, and has run his own consultancy. He celebrates his love of fresh produce in an online blog and has published a cookbook, Kumar's Family Cookbook. Both feature his own beautifully hand-drawn illustrations and recipes.
Kumar provides support to Beehive Industries through various forms of promotions and runs the Low Cost Meals for Seniors Program here at Beehive in order to promote simple, cost effective yet healthy meals for those on support services.

Liesl has competed in 7 Paralympic Games. After five playing wheelchair basketball (including two silvers and a bronze), Liesl began competing in sailing at the Paralympic Games, and with her sailing partner Daniel Fitzgibbon, won back to back gold medals in Rio and London.
Liesl's recent accolades include being named as part of the Australian Sailing Team of the Year and induction into the Basketball Australia Hall of Fame, acknowledging years of commitment to the development of wheelchair basketball in NSW, Australia and the world.
Liesl is the Co-founder of Sport Matters, an Australian-based NGO that uses the power of sport as a tool for development in Australia, the Pacific, Asia and Africa.
Prior to being elected to represent the electorate of Gosford, on NSW's beautiful Central Coast, Liesl worked as a high school teacher in public education, was establishing a national Paralympic Mentoring Program, and was Chairperson of the Oceania Para Sailing Development Committee working to reinstate sailing into the 2024 Parlympic Games.
